An Incredibly Good New Crime Drama On Fox

Monday night, I watched the premiere of a great new crime/police drama on Fox called The Following.

A former FBI agent (played by Kevin Bacon), helps the FBI track down a convicted serial killer who escaped from death row in Virginia.

The villain, Joe Caroll, is quite a paradox, as sophisticated as he is barbaric. He's British, a former professor of literature (with an obsession about Edgar Allen Poe). On the other hand, he also slashed 14 college students to death, and killed several people while escaping from prison.

The show is very dark, and the thrills are intense, so intense that at times, you may wonder if you are watching a movie or cable series instead of a US broadcast TV show.

Here's a trailer for the show:

The full premier episode is available for free viewing on the Fox network website.
